Chiropractic
Chiropractic treatment is a healthcare approach that focuses on diagnosing, managing, and preventing mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine, and the way these disorders affect overall health and nervous system function. It primarily involves manual therapy, most commonly spinal manipulation (sometimes called an âadjustmentâ), as well as mobilization, soft tissue techniques, exercise, lifestyle advice, and rehabilitation strategies.
How it can help
- Pain relief - Can reduce back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint discomfort.
- Improved mobility - Supports healing and reduces inflammation after procedures (e.g., cosmetic surgery, joint replacement).
- Function and posture - Helps restore normal range of motion in the spine and other joints.
Weâre Here to Help
What kind of Chiropractic treatment do you provide?
Our Chiropractic techniques are very hands on. Treatments involve adjustments (that can sometimes make a clicking sound), chiropractic massage and stretches. Each treatment session is tailored to the patient; their pain levels, and needs.
Iâm unsure if Chiropractic care is for me, can you advise?
We offer a free 10 minute phone consultation where you can talk to our chiropractor and from there you can decide if itâs right for you before booking an appointment.
Is it safe to see a Chiropractor whilst pregnant?
Yes, treatment during pregnancy is generally safe and beneficial in many circumstances. However, it is important to tell us if you are pregnant and of any existing conditions you have.
We have a pregnancy pillow that can be used for treatment on your front to help keep both yourself & bump comfortable during your sessions. Please let your practitioner know of any queries/ worries you have and they will adapt treatment to your needs.
Does Chiropractic treatment hurt?
Itâs normal to feel some aches & pains after your sessions, these are mild symptoms that generally fade after a day or two. Our chiropractor will advise on what can help reduce the pain whilst it settles. However, for severe pre-existing conditions, itâs important to let our chiropractor know as accurately as possible, so he can advise on the best course of treatment.
